A memory game that needs no materials and fixes words through constant repetition.

How to play

  1. 1

    The first student starts: “Je pars en vacances et j’emporte un chien.”

  2. 2

    The next student repeats the whole sentence and adds a new word.

  3. 3

    It goes round the class – the list keeps growing.

  4. 4

    Whoever forgets a word or mixes up the order is out.

Variations

  • Set a topic: only words from the current unit, e.g. animals or clothes.
  • Alphabetical: each new word starts with the next letter of the alphabet.
Tip

Sentence starters: “I’m going on holiday and I’m taking …”, “Je pars en vacances et j’emporte …”, “Me voy de vacaciones y me llevo …”.
