Last Saturday was a very rainy day. Emma woke up late and saw that the sky was dark and full of clouds. She decided to stay inside because she didn’t want to get wet. After breakfast, she sat on the sofa and looked out of the window. The rain made a soft sound on the roof, and the streets were empty. Emma felt a little bored, so she took a book from the shelf and started reading. It was a story about a girl who found a magic key in her garden. After reading for an hour, Emma heard a noise in the kitchen. Her mother was baking a cake. The smell of chocolate filled the house, and Emma’s mouth started to water. She went to the kitchen and asked if she could help. Her mother gave her a bowl and some eggs. Together, they mixed the ingredients and put the cake in the oven. While they waited, Emma told her mother about the book she was reading. It was a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon.
